How Do I Add a Section to My Shopify Page?

There are a few ways to add sections to your Shopify page. You can either use the built-in sections that come with your theme, or you can add a custom section.

To use a built-in section, simply go to the Sections tab in your Shopify dashboard and select the section you want to add. Then, use the drag-and-drop interface to place the section where you want it on your page.

To add a custom section, first create a new file in your theme’s /sections directory. This file should be named something like my-section.liquid, and it should contain the HTML and Liquid code for your section.

Once you’ve created your file, go to the Sections tab in your Shopify dashboard and select ‘Add a new section’. In the popup window, select ‘Custom’ from the ‘Type’ dropdown, and then enter the name of your file (without the .liquid extension) in the ‘Content’ field. Finally, click ‘Add Section’.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Shopify, we recommend that you consult with a Shopify expert before attempting to add a section to your page. This is because adding a section to your page can potentially break the layout of your page, and cause problems with your page’s functionality.

Your custom section will now be available in the Sections tab, and you can use the drag-and-drop interface to place it on your page.

There are a few things to keep in mind when adding sections to your Shopify page. First, make sure that your theme supports sections.

Second, be careful not to add too many sections, as this can make your page look cluttered and overwhelming. Third, if you’re using a custom section, make sure that you test it thoroughly before adding it to your live site.

Adding sections to your Shopify page is a great way to customize its look and feel. With a little bit of planning and care, you can create a beautiful and unique page that reflects your brand’s personality.
