There are a couple different ways that you can add a subscribe button to your Squarespace blog. One way is to use the RSS widget, which will automatically generate a subscribe button for you.

Simply drag and drop the RSS widget into your blog sidebar, and then enter the URL of your RSS feed. The other way is to use a custom HTML code block, which will give you more control over the appearance of your subscribe button.

If you want to use a custom HTML code block, follow these steps:

PRO TIP: If you are planning to add a subscribe button to your Squarespace blog, be aware that there is a potential for abuse. If you add a subscribe button to your blog, anyone who visits your blog can sign up to receive notifications whenever you post new content. This could result in a lot of unwanted email if you get a lot of traffic to your blog.
  1. Go to Settings -> Advanced -> Code Injection. Paste the following code into the Blog Footer Injection text box:

<script type="text/javascript" src="//s3.amazonaws.com/downloads.mailchimp.com/js/signup-forms/popup/embed.js" data-dojo-config="usePlainJson: true, isDebug: false"></script><script type="text/javascript">require(["mojo/signup-forms/Loader"], function(L) { L.start({"baseUrl":"mc.us12.list-manage.com","uuid":"XXXXXXXXXX","lid":"YYYYYYYYYY"}) })</script>

  1. Replace the XXXXXXXXXX in the code with your MailChimp list ID.
  2. Save your changes.

That’s it! You should now have a subscribe button on your blog.

Adding a subscribe button to your Squarespace blog is a great way to grow your mailing list. By using the RSS widget or a custom HTML code block, you can easily add a subscribe button to your blog without having to edit any code.
