Adding a terms and condition checkbox to your WooCommerce store is a great way to ensure that your customers agree to your terms and conditions before completing a purchase. There are a few different ways that you can add a terms and condition checkbox to your WooCommerce store, and in this article, we will show you how to do it.

The first thing you need to do is install and activate the Terms and Conditions for WooCommerce plugin. For more information on how to install a WordPress plugin, please see our beginner’s guide to installing WordPress plugins.

Once the plugin is activated, you need to edit the terms and conditions page that is automatically created by the plugin. You can do this by going to WooCommerce > Terms and Conditions from the left sidebar of your WordPress admin panel. On this page, you will be able to add your terms and conditions, and you can also use the shortcodes provided by the plugin to insert dynamic content into your terms and conditions page.

After adding your terms and conditions, click on the Save Changes button to store your changes. Now that you have added your terms and conditions, the next step is to add a checkbox for them on the checkout page.

You can do this by going to WooCommerce > Settings from the left sidebar of your WordPress admin panel. On the settings page, click on the Checkout tab from the top navigation menu.

On the checkout settings page, scroll down to the “Terms and Conditions” section and check the box next to “Enable Terms and Conditions”. By default, the plugin will add the terms and conditions checkbox after the order notes field on the checkout page.

Note: If you want to change the position of the Terms and Conditions checkbox, then you need to use a custom function or filter hook. We will cover this in more detail in our article on how to change the position of Terms and Conditions checkbox in WooCommerce. For now, let’s continue with our current settings.

Once you have checked the box next to “Enable Terms and Conditions”, scroll down and click on the “Save Changes”. button at the bottom of the page.

Note: If you want customers to accept your terms and conditions before they can place an order , then you need to check the box next to “Force customers to accept terms before placing an order.” By default, this option is disabled.

PRO TIP: Adding a terms and conditions checkbox to your WooCommerce store is a great way to ensure that your customers agree to your terms and conditions before completing a purchase. However, there are a few things you need to keep in mind when adding this checkbox to your checkout page.

First, you will need to create a terms and conditions page on your WooCommerce store. This page should include all of the relevant information about your terms and conditions, such as your refund policy, shipping policy, etc. Once you have created this page, you can then add a link to it in the checkout process.

Next, you will need to add a checkbox to your checkout page that customers must check in order to agree to your terms and conditions. This checkbox should be placed near the bottom of the checkout page, so that customers will see it before they complete their purchase.

Finally, you will need to make sure that you are properly handling customer agreements to your terms and conditions. If a customer does not agree to your terms and conditions, you should not complete their purchase. Additionally, you should keep track of which customers have agreed to your terms and conditions so that you can follow up with them if necessary.
