Adding a variable in Shopify is simple and can be done in just a few steps. First, log into your Shopify account and click on “Products” in the left-hand menu. Next, find the product you want to add a variable to and click on “Edit.”

In the “Edit product” page, scroll down to the “Variants” section. Here, you will see all of the current variants for that product listed. To add a new variant, click on the “Add variant” button.

In the “Create variant” popup window, enter the name of your new variant (e.g., color) in the “Name” field. Then, enter the different options for that variant in the “Option1” field (e., red, blue, green). Be sure to click on the “Save” button when you’re finished.

Your new variant will now appear in the “Variants” section of the “Edit product” page. To edit an existing variant, simply click on it and make your changes. When you’re finished, be sure to click on the “Save” button.

PRO TIP: Adding a variable in Shopify can be tricky and may result in errors if not done correctly. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully and backup your data before proceeding.
