How Do I Add a Wholesale to My Shopify Store Without an App?

You want to add a wholesale to your Shopify store, but you don’t want to use an app. Here’s how you can do it without one:

    1. Create a Customer Group

    The first thing you need to do is create a customer group. To do this, go to Customers > Groups.
    Then, click Add customer group. Give your customer group a name (e.g., “Wholesale”) and click Save. Now that you have a customer group, you need to add customers to it.

    Note: You can also create customer groups using apps like Bulk Discounts or Wholesale Club.

    2. Add Customers to the Group

    To add customers to your new group, go to Customers>All customers. Then, select the checkbox next to the customers you want to add and click “Add to groups”.
    In the popup window, select the customer group you want to add the customers to and click “Add customers”. The customers will now be added to your customer group.

    Note: You can also add customers to groups using apps like Bulk Discounts or Wholesale Club.

PRO TIP: If you are considering adding a wholesale to your Shopify store without an app, be aware that this could cause problems with your store’s inventory management. Without an app, it can be difficult to keep track of which products are being sold at wholesale prices and which are being sold at retail prices. This can lead to oversold products and angry customers.

(Optional) Step 3: Set Up Automatic Customer Groups

If you want certain customers to be automatically added to a customer group based on criteria like order history or location, then you can set up automatic customer groups. To do this, go to Customers > Automatic customer groups . Then, click “Create automatic customer group” (you can also edit existing automatic customer groups from this page). In the popup window, give your automatic customer group a name and description.

Then, select the criteria for adding customers to this group. When you’re finished, click “Create automatic customer group” (or “Save” , if you’re editing an existing automatic customer group). Now, whenever a new customer meets the criteria for this automatic customer group, they will be added to the group.
