Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 9:51 am

Adding AR to your Figma designs is a great way to add an extra layer of realism and engagement to your prototypes. By using the built-in AR functionality, you can add AR objects and animations directly into your designs, making them come to life in a whole new way. Here’s how you can add AR to your Figma designs:

1. To begin, open up the design you want to add AR to in Figma.

2. Next, select the layer or object you want to add AR to.

3. With the layer or object selected, click on the “AR” button in the toolbar at the top of the screen.

4. This will bring up the AR settings panel.

Here, you can choose what kind of AR object or animation you want to add.

5. Once you’ve chosen your AR object or animation, click on the “Add” button to add it to your design.

6. And that’s it!

You’ve successfully added AR to your Figma design. Now when you view your prototype in the Figma Mirror app, you’ll see your AR object or animation come to life.

PRO TIP: Adding AR to Figma is a complex process that should only be attempted by experienced designers. AR can dramatically improve the realism of your designs, but it can also make them more difficult to read and understand. If you are not comfortable with AR, we recommend that you do not attempt to add it to your designs.
