How Do I Add Cname to Squarespace?

Last updated on December 26, 2022 @ 6:19 pm

Adding a CNAME record to your Squarespace site is a fairly simple process. Here’s how:

  1. Log into your Squarespace account and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Click on the Domains sub-tab.
  3. Click on the domain you want to add the CNAME record to.
  4. Click on the Advanced DNS Settings link.
  5. In the CNAME Records section, click on the + Add Record button.
  6. In the “Host” field, enter the name you want to use for your CNAME record. In the “Points To”, enter the URL you want your CNAME record to point to. In the “TTL”, select “1 Hour”. Then click on the “Add Record”

    .

You should now see your new CNAME record listed in the “CNAME Records” section.

You can now use your new CNAME record when setting up custom domains with Squarespace.

PRO TIP: CNAME records cannot be added to Squarespace. If you attempt to add a CNAME record to your Squarespace DNS settings, you will receive an error message.
