How Do I Add Custom HTML to Squarespace?

Last updated on December 12, 2022 @ 6:16 am

There are a few different ways that you can add custom HTML to your Squarespace website. One way is to use the Code Block feature in the Page Builder.

This will allow you to add HTML code directly into your page. Another way is to use the Custom CSS feature under Design > Custom CSS. This will allow you to add CSS code that will affect the styling of your website.

If you want to add custom HTML code to your website, you will need to use the Code Block feature in the Page Builder. To do this, simply drag and drop a Code Block into your page. Then, paste your HTML code into the Code Block and click Save.

You can also style text in HTML using the < p >, < b > and < u > tags. The < p > tag is used for paragraphs, the < b > tag is used for bold text, and the < u > tag is used for underlined text.

To use these tags, simply enclose the text that you want to style in the appropriate tag. For example, if you wanted to make a paragraph of text bold, you would enclose it in < b > tags like this:

< b >This is a bold paragraph of text.< /b >

You can also combine these tags to create more complex styling. For example, if you wanted to create a paragraph of bold and underlined text, you would enclose it in both < b > and < u > tags like this:

< b >< u >This is a bold and underlined paragraph of text.< /u >< /b >

PRO TIP: Adding custom HTML to your Squarespace site can be a great way to add unique features and improve the design of your site. However, it’s important to be aware of the risks involved in doing so.

Custom HTML can introduce security vulnerabilities to your site, as well as potential stability and compatibility issues. We recommend that you only add custom HTML to your Squarespace site if you’re comfortable with these risks and are confident in your ability to troubleshoot any problems that may arise.
