Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 3:50 am

Adding Google Analytics to your Wix site is a great way to track your website’s traffic and performance. Google Analytics is a free service that provides detailed statistics about your website’s visitors.

To add Google Analytics to your Wix site, you’ll need to create a Google Analytics account and get your unique tracking code. Once you have your tracking code, you can add it to your Wix site using the Wix HTML Editor.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

To get started, go to the Google Analytics website and click “Sign up for free”. Then, enter your website’s URL and click “Create new account”.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to add a Google Analytics tag to your Wix site, be warned that there is a potential risk involved.

While Wix does allow you to add Google Analytics tracking code to your site, there is no guarantee that it will work correctly. In fact, there have been reports of issues with the code not being properly implemented on Wix sites.

This means that if you do decide to add the Google Analytics tag to your Wix site, you could potentially end up with inaccurate or incomplete data. So proceed with caution and make sure you understand the risks before proceeding.

Next, you’ll be asked to provide some basic information about your website. Once you’ve done that, click “Get Tracking ID”.

On the next page, you’ll see your unique tracking code. Copy this code and head back over to your Wix editor.

Click “Add & Edit” on the page where you want to add the tracking code. Then, click “HTML” and paste your code into the box that appears. Finally, click “Update” and you’re done!

Your Google Analytics tracking code will now be added to your Wix site. This will allow you to start collecting data about your website’s traffic and performance.
