How Do I Add International Shipping to WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 3:23 pm

If you’re running a WooCommerce store, you may want to offer international shipping to your customers. Doing so can be a great way to expand your business and reach new markets.

Fortunately, adding international shipping to WooCommerce is relatively easy to do. In this article, we’ll show you how to add international shipping to your WooCommerce store.

Adding international shipping to WooCommerce is a two-step process. First, you’ll need to set up your shipping zones and rates.

Second, you’ll need to enable the appropriate shipping methods for each zone. Let’s take a look at each of these steps in more detail.

1. Set up your shipping zones and rates.

The first step in adding international shipping to your WooCommerce store is to set up your shipping zones and rates. By default, WooCommerce only offers shipping to locations within the United States.

However, you can easily add additional shipping zones for other countries or regions. To do so, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping. Then, click on the “Add Shipping Zone” button.

On the next screen, you’ll need to provide a name for your shipping zone (e.g., “Europe” or “Australia”), as well as the countries that should be included in that zone. Once you’ve done that, click on the “Add Shipping Method” button.

2. Enable the appropriate shipping methods for each zone.

Next, you’ll need to enable the appropriate shipping methods for each zone. For most stores, this will likely mean enabling flat rate shipping.

To do so, go back to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping. Then, find the section for your newly-created shipping zone and select “Flat Rate” from the dropdown menu.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to configure your flat rate options. To do so, scroll down to the “Flat Rate Options” section and enter your desired rates. Be sure to click on the “Save Changes” button when you’re finished.

Adding international shipping to WooCommerce is a two-step process: setting up your shipping zones and rates and enabling the appropriate shipping methods for each zone.

PRO TIP: Adding international shipping to WooCommerce can be tricky and may not always work correctly. Make sure to thoroughly test your shipping setup before going live with it.
