How Do I Add Inventory to My Shopify App?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:08 pm

There are two ways to add inventory to your Shopify app. The first is to manually add products one at a time through the app’s interface. The second is to use the app’s built-in inventory management system to automatically keep track of your products and stock levels.

To add products manually:

1. Go to the Products tab in the Shopify app. 2. Click “Add product”.

3. Enter the product name, price, SKU (stock keeping unit), and other details. 4. Click “Save product”.

To add products using the inventory management system:

1. Go to the Inventory tab in the Shopify app. 3.

Select the product you want to add from the list of available products. Enter the quantity you have in stock. 5.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to add inventory to your Shopify app, be aware that there are some potential risks involved.

First of all, if you add too much inventory, it could overwhelm your app and make it difficult for customers to find what they’re looking for. Secondly, if you add inventory that is not relevant or popular with your target audience, it could actually hurt your app’s reputation and cause customers to uninstall it.

So before you go ahead and add inventory to your Shopify app, think carefully about what you’re doing and make sure that it won’t do more harm than good.

You can also adjust your shop’s settings to have Shopify automatically keep track of your inventory for you. To do this:

1. Go to the Settings tab in the Shopify app. Click “Inventory”. Select “Automatically track inventory levels”. Click “Save changes”.
