How Do I Add Sky in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 9:16 pm

Adding a realistic sky to a photo is one of the most common Photoshop edits. There are a few different ways to do this, but the quickest and most effective way is to use the “replace color” tool. Here’s how:

First, open your image in Photoshop. Next, create a new layer by clicking on the “create new layer” icon at the bottom of the layers panel. Then, click on the “select color range” tool, which is located under the “quick selection” tool in the toolbar.

Click on the sky in your image to select the blue color. Then, adjust the fuzziness until you have selected all of the blue in the sky. Once you have done this, click on the new layer and press “delete” to remove the selected color from this layer.

Now, go to “image” and then “adjustments” and select “replace color.” In the dialogue box that pops up, make sure that the “selection” option is selected. Then, click on the blue color in the image and drag it towards the center of the square.

This will change all of the blue colors in your image to whatever color you have selected. Finally, go to “file” and then “save as” to save your edited image.

PRO TIP: Adding sky to a Photoshop image can be tricky and may not always produce the desired results. It is important to select the right sky image and to use the appropriate blending mode to achieve the desired effect.

Adding a realistic sky to a photo can make it look more professional and polished. The best way to do this is by using Photoshop’s “replace color” tool. Follow these simple steps and you’ll be able to add any kind of sky you want to your photos!
