How Do I Add Text to an Image in Photoshop?

Adding text to an image is a great way to personalize it, or to add a message. Photoshop makes it easy to add text to an image, and there are a few different ways to do it. You can use the Text tool, or you can use the Type layer.

The Text tool is the easiest way to add text to an image. Just click on the image where you want to add the text, and type away. You can change the font, size, color, and alignment of the text using the options at the top of the screen.

PRO TIP: When adding text to an image in Photoshop, it is important to be aware of the image resolution. If the image resolution is too low, the text will appear pixelated and fuzzy. It is also important to select the correct font size and color so that the text is legible and easy to read.

If you want more control over your text, or if you want to be able to move the text around independently of the image, you can use a Type layer. To create a Type layer, click on the T icon at the bottom of the Layers panel. Then click on the image and start typing.

You can format your text using the options in the Type menu at the top of the screen. You can also move your text around by clicking and dragging it with your mouse. If you need to resize your text, you can do so by clicking on one of the corner handles and dragging it in or out.

When you’re finished adding text to your image, you can save it as a JPEG, PNG, or TIFF file.
