How Do I Add WooCommerce to WordPress?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:10 pm

Adding WooCommerce to WordPress is a two-step process: installing the WooCommerce plugin and then setting up WooCommerce.

Installing the WooCommerce plugin is simple. Just head over to the WordPress Plugin Directory and search for “WooCommerce”. Once you find it, click “Install Now” and then activate the plugin.

Now that the plugin is installed, you need to set up WooCommerce. The first thing you need to do is create a WooCommerce account.

You can do this by going to the WooCommerce website and clicking on the “My Account” link at the top of the page. From there, you’ll need to fill out your account information and create a username and password.

Once you have a WooCommerce account, you can begin setting up your store. The first thing you need to do is add your products.

To do this, go to the “Products” tab in your WordPress dashboard and click on “Add New”. From there, you can add product details like name, price, description, and images.

PRO TIP: If you are adding WooCommerce to an existing WordPress site, please back up your site before proceeding. Adding WooCommerce to WordPress will overwrite your existing theme and plugin files. We recommend using a child theme or creating a backup of your existing theme and plugin files before adding WooCommerce.

After you’ve added your products, it’s time to set up your payment methods. Go to the “WooCommerce” tab in your WordPress dashboard and click on “Settings”.

From there, click on the “Payments” tab and choose which payment methods you want to enable. WooCommerce offers a number of different payment options including credit card, PayPal, bank transfer, and cash on delivery.

Finally, you need to choose a shipping method for your products.

From there, click on the “Shipping” tab and select which shipping methods you want to enable. You can choose from a number of different shipping options including flat rate shipping, free shipping, and local pickup.

That’s it! You’ve now successfully added WooCommerce to WordPress.
