How Do I Automatically Import Products Into WooCommerce?

Last updated on January 14, 2023 @ 11:30 am

If you are running an online store powered by WooCommerce, you may need to import products from time to time. This could be because you are adding new products to your inventory, or because you are migrating products from another ecommerce platform. Whatever the reason, importing products into WooCommerce can be a bit of a challenge – especially if you have a lot of products to import.

The good news is that there are some tools and plugins that can help you automate the process of importing products into WooCommerce. In this article, we will show you how to automatically import products into WooCommerce using the WP All Import plugin.

What is WP All Import

WP All Import is a WordPress plugin that allows you to import data from any XML or CSV file into your WordPress site. It is a very powerful plugin with a lot of features, but it can be a bit overwhelming for beginners. However, once you get the hang of it, it is actually quite easy to use.

How to Automatically Import Products into WooCommerce Using WP All Import

First thing you need to do is install and activate the WP All Import plugin. For more details, see our step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Once the plugin is activated, click on WP All Import -> New Import in your WordPress admin area. On the next screen, you will be asked to choose the file that you want to import data from.

PRO TIP: If you are considering importing products into WooCommerce automatically, there are a few things to be aware of. First, importing products can be time-consuming and may result in duplicates if not done carefully. Second, importing products from another eCommerce platform can be tricky, and you may end up losing important data such as product reviews and customer orders. Finally, make sure you have a backup of your WooCommerce store before beginning the import process, as it is possible to corrupt your database during the import.

After choosing the file, you will be asked to select the importer type. For importing products into WooCommerce, you need to select the “Products” importer type.

On the next screen, you will be asked to map the data fields in your XML or CSV file to the fields in WooCommerce. This is important because it tells WP All Import which data goes where.

Once you have mapped all the fields, click on the “Continue & Save” button and then on the “Run Importer” button. WP All Import will now start importing products into WooCommerce.
