How Do I Become a Contributor to Canva?

Last updated on December 4, 2022 @ 3:38 pm

If you’re reading this, you’re probably familiar with Canva. Canva is a user-friendly graphic design tool that’s beloved by small businesses, bloggers, and non-designers alike. It’s simple to use and has built-in templates for every kind of design you could ever need.

But what you may not know is that anyone can become a contributor to Canva’s library of design elements. That’s right – whether you’re a seasoned designer or someone who’s never even opened Photoshop, you can create and sell your own design elements on Canva. Here’s how:

    1. Create an account at Canva.com. You can sign up with your email address or through Facebook or Google+.

    2. Once you’re logged in, click on the “Create a Design” button on the left-hand side of the screen.

    3. On the next screen, select “Custom Dimensions” and enter 2000px x 2000px for the width and height. This is the standard size for images on Canva.

    4. Now it’s time to start designing! You can either upload your own graphics or illustrations, or create something from scratch using Canva’s built-in tools and shapes.

    5. Once you’re happy with your design, click on the “Download” button in the top right-hand corner.

    6. On the next screen, select “PNG” from the dropdown menu and then click on the “Download” button again. This will download your image as a PNG file to your computer.

    7. Now head over to contributor. This is where you’ll upload your image and set a price for it.

    8. Click on the “Start Selling” button in the top right-hand corner of the screen and then select “Upload Designs.”

    9. On the next screen, drag and drop your PNG file into the designated area or click on the “Choose a File to Upload” button and select it from your computer’s files.

    10. Fill out the form that appears with information about your design, such as what it can be used for, what kind of mood it evokes, etc.

Be as creative as you like! When you’re finished, click on the “Upload & Continue” button at the bottom of the page.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about becoming a contributor to Canva, be aware that there are some risks associated with this. First and foremost, when you become a contributor, you are giving Canva permission to use your designs and other content in any way they see fit. This means that they can sell your designs, or use them in promotional materials, without ever compensating you. Additionally, by becoming a contributor, you are agreeing to waive your rights to any intellectual property that you submit to Canva. Finally, be aware that Canva can terminate your account at any time and for any reason – meaning that all of your hard work could be for nothing.
