How Do I Change Base Currency in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 6:35 pm

WooCommerce is a popular eCommerce platform that allows store owners to sell products and services online. One of the great features of WooCommerce is its flexibility when it comes to currencies.

By default, WooCommerce will use your store’s base currency, but you can change this if you need to. Here’s how:

First, you need to log into your WordPress Dashboard and go to WooCommerce > Settings. On the General tab, look for the Currency Options section.

Here, you’ll see the Currency setting. By default, this will be set to your store’s base currency.

If you want to change your store’s base currency, simply select the new currency from the drop-down list. You’ll then see a message asking if you want to reset all prices in the new currency. Click Yes, and WooCommerce will update all of your prices accordingly.

And that’s it! You’ve successfully changed your store’s base currency in WooCommerce.

PRO TIP: If you are changing the base currency in WooCommerce, please be aware that this will affect all prices in your store. This includes product prices, shipping costs, taxes, and any other fees that are calculated in your store. Please take care to update all prices accordingly before changing the base currency.

Changing your store’s base currency is a quick and easy process with WooCommerce. Simply log into your WordPress Dashboard, go to WooCommerce > Settings, and select the new currency from the Currency drop-down list. Once you’ve done that, all of your prices will be updated automatically.
