Changing Document Root in cPanel Namecheap

Changing document root in cPanel Namecheap is a relatively simple process. First, you will need to locate the document root directory for cPanel. This can be found by clicking on the “System” menu in cPanel and selecting “Document Root.” Once you have located the document root, you will need to change the document root to the new location.

PRO TIP: If you are changing your document root in cPanel, be sure to also update your site’s URL in the WordPress settings. Otherwise, your site will not be accessible at the new location.

To do this, you will need to access the “Settings” menu in cPanel and select “File System.” From here, you will need to select the “Root Directory” option and change the document root to the new location.
