How Do I Change My Shopify Store Name?

If you’re looking to change the name of your Shopify store, there are a few things you’ll need to do. First, you’ll need to log into your Shopify account and go to the “Settings” tab.

From there, you’ll want to select the “General” option and then scroll down to the “Store information” section. Here, you’ll be able to edit the “Store name” field and enter in your desired store name. Once you’ve made your changes, be sure to hit the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.

PRO TIP: If you are considering changing your Shopify store name, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, changing your store name will change the URL of your store, which could impact your search engine ranking and customer loyalty. Second, make sure you update your branding across all channels (social media, email signature, business cards, etc.) to reflect the new name. Finally, consider whether or not you need to change your domain name to match the new store name.

Now, if you had an existing domain name that you were using with your old store name, you’ll need to update the DNS settings for that domain. You can do this by logging into your DNS provider’s account and editing the A record for your domain.

The A record should be pointing to Shopify’s IP address, which is 23.227.38.65. Once you’ve updated the DNS settings, it can take up to 48 hours for the changes to propagate across the internet.

Once everything is updated, your Shopify store will be accessible at your new domain name!
