PRO TIP: If you are considering changing your sitemap on Wix, be warned that this could have negative consequences for your website. Your sitemap is what tells search engines like Google what pages are on your site, and changing it can cause those pages to be crawled less often, or not at all. This could lead to your site’s ranking in Google search results plummeting, and you could lose traffic as a result. So unless you know what you’re doing, it’s best to leave your sitemap alone.

By editing your sitemap, you can add or remove pages from your website, as well as change the frequency with which search engines crawl your site. Wix makes it easy to change your sitemap – simply go to your dashboard, click on the “Settings” tab, and then select “Sitemap & URLs.”

From there, you can edit your sitemap and submit it to search engines. You can also use Wix’s sitemap feature to generate a new sitemap for your site.
