How Do I Change Powered by Link in Shopify?

Last updated on January 13, 2023 @ 3:23 pm

Shopify is one of the most popular ecommerce platforms on the internet. If you’re using Shopify to power your online store, you’ve likely noticed the “Powered by Shopify” link in the footer of your site.

While this link is technically required by Shopify’s terms of service, many store owners prefer to remove it or replace it with their own custom text or logo.

If you’re looking to remove or change the “Powered by Shopify” link on your site, you can do so with a few simple steps.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful when changing the “powered by” link in your Shopify store, you could break your store’s design. Make sure to backup your theme before making any changes.

In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes. Find the theme you’re currently using and click Customize.

Under Sections, click Footer. In the Powered by Shopify

section, you can either:

– Disable the link completely by unchecking the box next to “Enable powered by link”
– Change the text of the link by entering your own text in the “Text” field
– Replace the link with a custom logo by uploading a file in the “Logo” field

Once you’ve made your changes, click Save. Your changes will be published to your live site immediately.
