There are a few different ways that you can change the color of text in Photoshop. One way is to use the “Text” tool to select the text that you want to change, and then click on the “Fill” option in the top toolbar. From there, you can choose a color from the color picker or enter in a hex code for the color that you want to use. Another way to change text color is to use the “Layer Styles” option.

To do this, double-click on the text layer in the Layers panel and then select “Color Overlay” from the list of options. From there, you can choose a color for your text. You can also add other effects, such as stroke or drop shadow, by selecting them from the list of options.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, or do not have a good understanding of color theory, be careful when changing the color of text in Photoshop. It is very easy to create unreadable or jarring text when changing colors.

One quick way to change the color of existing text is by using Photoshop’s built-in “Text” tool. With this tool activated, simply click on the area of text you wish to recolor and head up to the top toolbar where it says “Fill.” Here, you have two choices: either enter in a specific Hex code for your desired color or select one from Photoshop’s default colors via the Color Picker.

Another method for recoloring Text layers is by utilizing Layer Styles. To access these settings, simply double-click on your Text layer within the Layers panel until the Layer Style window appears.

Next, navigate over to Color Overlay and select your desired hue from either the Color Picker or Hex code options similar to before. You can also experiment with other Layer Style settings like Outer Glow, Bevel & Embossing, etc. until you find a look that fits your project!
