How Do I Change the Header Menu in Squarespace?

Last updated on December 27, 2022 @ 5:08 pm

There are two ways to change the header menu in Squarespace. The first way is to use the drag-and-drop editor.

To do this, simply hover over the header area and click on the edit button. This will open up the editor where you can change the text, font, color, and other settings for the header menu.

The second way to change the header menu is to use the code editor. To do this, go to the ‘Settings’ tab and then click on ‘Code.’

Here you will be able to add or remove code that affects the header menu. For example, if you want to change the font of the header menu, you would add the following code to the code editor:

<style>
header#header .nav-item a {
  font-family: "Your Font Here";
}
</style>

You can also use HTML tags to style the text of the header menu. For example, if you want to make some text bold, you would add the <b> tag around that text. You can also use the <u> tag to underline text, and the <p> tag to add paragraphs.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with code or website design, do not attempt to change the header menu in Squarespace. You could unintentionally break your website or introduce security vulnerabilities.
