How Do I Change the Navigation Layout in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 12:07 am

There are many ways to change the navigation layout in Squarespace. The most common way is to use the Navigation Layout panel in the Design Manager. This panel allows you to change the way your navigation appears on your site.

To access the Navigation Layout panel, go to Design Manager > Navigation. Then, click on the Navigation Layout tab.

From here, you can change the way your navigation appears on your site. You can choose from a variety of options, including:

– Horizontal navigation: This is the most common type of navigation. It displays your navigation items horizontally across the top of your site.

PRO TIP: If you are not a Squarespace developer, we recommend that you do not attempt to change the navigation layout in Squarespace. Doing so could potentially break your site, and cause major issues with your site’s functionality.

– Vertical navigation: This type of navigation displays your navigation items vertically down the side of your site.

– Drop-down menu: This type of navigation displays a drop-down menu when you hover over a parent navigation item. This is a good option if you have a lot of sub-pages under each parent page.

– Breadcrumb navigation: This type of navigation displays a breadcrumb trail on your site. This is a good option if you want to give your users an easy way to navigate back to previous pages on your site.

Once you’ve selected the type of navigation you want, you can then customize it further by changing the alignment, font, color, and other options.
