If you have a business on Wix, you may be wondering how to collect sales tax. There are a few different ways to do this, and the method you choose will depend on your specific business needs.

One option is to use a third-party service like TaxJar or Avalara. These services will handle all of the tax calculations for you and integrate with Wix to make sure the correct amount of tax is collected on each sale.

Another option is to use Wix’s built-in tax calculator. This can be found in your Wix account under the ‘Billing’ section.

PRO TIP: If you plan to sell products or services through your Wix website, you may need to collect sales tax from your customers. Depending on your business location and the products or services you sell, you may be required to collect and remit state and/or local sales tax. Failure to collect and remit the proper amount of sales tax could result in penalties, interest, and possible legal action.

You’ll need to enter your business location and the applicable tax rates for your area. Once you’ve done this, the tax calculator will automatically add the correct amount of tax to each sale.

If you’re using Wix Payments, you can also set up automatic sales tax collection there. Just go to the ‘Settings’ tab and click ‘Payments’.

Then, select ‘Sales Tax’ from the list of options and enter your business location and tax rates. Wix Payments will then take care of collecting the correct amount of tax on each sale.

No matter which method you choose, collecting sales tax on Wix is easy and straightforward. By following the steps above, you can make sure that you’re compliant with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
