How Do I Color a Layer in Photoshop?

In Photoshop, there are a few different ways that you can color a layer. You can either use the “Fill” tool, or you can use the “Paint Bucket” tool.

If you want to color the entire layer, then you would use the “Fill” tool. To do this, simply select the “Fill” tool from the toolbar, and then click on the layer that you want to color. A color picker will appear, and you can choose any color that you want.

PRO TIP: When coloring a layer in Photoshop, be careful not to use colors that are too similar to the background color. Doing so will make the layer difficult to see. Also, be sure to color the layer using a light source that is consistent with the light source in the image. Otherwise, the layer will appear unnatural.

If you only want to color part of the layer, then you would use the “Paint Bucket” tool. To do this, select the “Paint Bucket” tool from the toolbar, and then click on the area of the layer that you want to color. Again, a color picker will appear, and you can choose any color that you want.

Once you have chosen a color, simply click “OK” and the area will be filled with that color.
