How Do I Combine Two Shopify Orders?

Last updated on October 2, 2022 @ 3:44 am

If you’re running a business on Shopify, there may come a time when you need to combine two orders into one. Maybe a customer placed two separate orders by mistake, or you need to consolidate multiple orders from different fulfillment locations.

Whatever the reason, combining orders is a pretty straightforward process in Shopify. Here’s how to do it:

1. Go to the Orders page in your Shopify admin and locate the two orders that you want to combine.

2. Click the checkbox next to each order that you want to combine, then click the More actions drop-down menu and select Combine orders.

3. In the dialog that appears, review the information about the orders that will be combined and click Combine orders.

4. Shopify will now combine the two orders into one and add a note indicating that the orders were combined. You can view this note by going to the Order details page for the newly created order.

That’s all there is to it! Combining orders in Shopify is a quick and easy way to keep your business running smoothly, no matter what unexpected circumstances come up.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about combining two Shopify orders, be warned that this is not an easy task. There are a lot of potential things that can go wrong, and it is generally not recommended unless you are absolutely sure that you know what you are doing. If you do decide to combine orders, be sure to test everything thoroughly before going live, as even the smallest mistake can cause big problems.
