How Do I Connect My Barcode Scanner to Shopify POS?

As the world progresses, more and more businesses are turning to digital methods. One such method is using barcodes to keep track of inventory.

If you have a business, you may be wondering how to connect your barcode scanner to Shopify POS. Here is a guide on how to do just that:

First, you will need to make sure that your barcode scanner is compatible with Shopify POS. If it is, then you will need to purchase a Shopify POS barcode scanner. Once you have done that, you will need to follow these steps:

1) Connect the Shopify POS barcode scanner to your computer via the USB cable that came with it.

2) Open the Shopify POS app on your computer.

3) In the upper-right corner of the app, click Settings, and then click Hardware.

4) Under “Connected devices”, click “Barcode scanners”. If you don’t see this option, then your barcode scanner isn’t compatible with Shopify POS.

5) Click “Add a new barcode scanner”, and then follow the instructions on the screen.

6) Once you have added your barcode scanner, you will need to calibrate it. To do this, click “Calibrate scanner”.

7) Follow the instructions on the screen. When you’re finished, click “Done”.


You have now successfully connected your barcode scanner to Shopify POS!
