How Do I Connect My Google Domain to Wix for Free?

Google Domains is a domain name registrar owned by Google. The company offers a variety of domain name endings, called “top-level domains” or “TLDs”. Google Domains offers custom domain names with several features, such as reliable email, easy website building, and privacy protection.

You can use a custom domain name with a Wix website for free. All you need to do is connect your domain to Wix. Here’s how:

1. Sign in to your Wix account. Go to www.wix.com and click Log In in the top right-hand corner. Enter the email address and password for your Wix account. Then click Log In.

2. Click Add Domain. Under Manage Domain, click the + icon next to Add Domain.

3. Connect your domain. Select Connect Domain.

4. Enter your Google Domain name. Type in the name of your Google Domain and then click Continue.

5. Verify you own your domain. To verify that you own your domain, Wix will send an authorization code to the contact email address listed in your Google Domains account. If you don’t see the verification email, check your Spam folder or add noreply@wixdns.net to your safe sender list.

6. Enter the authorization code.

7. Click Verify.

8. Choose DNS Settings.

If you want Wix to manage your DNS settings:

  • Select Use Wix DNS Settings and then click Continue.

If you want to manage your DNS settings yourself:

  • Select Use External DNS Settings and then click Continue.

9. Set up site address mapping (optional). If you want visitors who go to www.YourDomain.com to be redirected to a different website, enter the URL in the Site Address field.
