If you’ve ever wanted to use WordPress but didn’t want to deal with the hassle of hosting your own site, Wix is a great alternative. Wix is a website builder that allows you to create a website without having to worry about hosting, security, or any of the other technical aspects of running a website.

The first thing you need to do is sign up for a free Wix account. Once you’ve done that, you can choose a template for your site and start customizing it. When you’re happy with your site, you can then connect your own domain name to it.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

To connect your WordPress domain to Wix, you’ll need to add a CNAME record to your DNS settings. A CNAME record is simply a way of telling your domain name where to find your website. To add a CNAME record, login to your WordPress account and go to the Domains tab.

PRO TIP: If you are considering connecting your WordPress domain to Wix, please be aware that this could have negative consequences for your website. WordPress is a self-hosted platform, which means that you are responsible for ensuring that your website is accessible and secure. Wix is a hosted platform, which means that they are responsible for ensuring that your website is accessible and secure. Connecting your WordPress domain to Wix could mean that your website becomes less secure, as Wix would then be responsible for securing both platforms. It could also mean that your website becomes less accessible, as Wix would then be responsible for ensuring that both platforms are available. Please carefully consider whether connecting your WordPress domain to Wix is right for you before taking any action.

Click on the domain name that you want to connect to Wix. In the DNS Settings section, click on the Add Record button.

Choose CNAME from the drop-down menu and enter www in the Hostname field. In the Points To field, enter wixsite.com/your-site-name (replacing “your-site-name” with the actual name of your site).

Click on the Save button and your WordPress domain will be connected to Wix!
