How do I convert CMYK to Pantone in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 8:24 pm

In Photoshop, you can convert CMYK to Pantone by using the Pantone Matching System. To do this, first open the Pantone document you want to convert. Next, click on the Edit menu and select Pantone Matching System. This will open the Pantone Matching System dialog box.

PRO TIP: When converting CMYK to Pantone in Photoshop, it is important to note that the colors will appear different than they do on a monitor. This is because monitors use the RGB color space, while Pantone colors are printed using the CMYK color space. Therefore, it is important to convert the colors correctly so that they will match when printed.

In the Select Color Space field, select CMYK. In the Select Primary Colors field, select the colors you want to convert. Finally, in the Output Field field, select Pantone. The result will be a Pantone document that matches the colors in the CMYK document.
