Start by logging into your Canva account. If you don’t have one, you can sign up for free.

Once you’re logged in, click on the “Create a design” button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

A pop-up window will appear, asking you to choose which type of design you’d like to create. Select “Journal” from the list of options.

You’ll be taken to a new page with a blank canvas. On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a menu of different Design Templates that you can use for your journal.

You can also check the Elements tab which includes things like images, text, shapes, and lines. To add one of these elements to your design, simply click on it and it will be added to the canvas.

Once you’ve added all the elements you want to your journal, it’s time to style them. To do this, simply click on the element that you want to style and a toolbar will appear above it with different options. For example, if you want to change the font of some text, you would click on the text on your design, then go to the top menu and select the font style option.

When you’re happy with your design, click on the “Share” button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Finally, select “PDF Print” from the File type options and click on the “Download” button. This will download your journal as a PDF file that you can print out and use however you like!

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, it is very easy to create a journal in Canva that looks like it was made by a five-year-old. Make sure to use a variety of fonts, colors, and images to make your journal look professional.

Creating a journal in Canva is a quick and easy way to get started with journaling. With a few clicks, you can add all the elements you need and style them to your liking. And when you’re finished, simply download your journal as a PDF file and print it out.
