Watermarks are an essential part of image protection. A watermark is a logo or text superimposed over an image to prevent unauthorized copying.

Photoshop makes it easy to add a watermark to your images. In this article, we’ll show you how to create a PNG watermark in Photoshop.

To create a watermark, you’ll need to open your image in Photoshop. Once your image is open, click on the “Layer” menu and select “New Layer.”

This will open a new layer window. In the new layer window, select “Watermark” from the drop-down menu.

Next, you’ll need to select the type of watermark you want to create. There are two options: text or logo. For this example, we’ll select “Text.”

Once you’ve selected your watermark type, enter your text in the “Text” field. You can also adjust the font, size, and color of your text. When you’re finished, click “OK.”

Your watermark will now be visible on your image. To save your image with the watermark, go to the “File” menu and select “Save As.”

In the “Save As” window, make sure to select PNG from the drop-down menu next to “Save as Type.” Now simply click “Save” and your image with the watermark will be saved as a PNG file!

PRO TIP: When creating a PNG watermark in Photoshop, it is important to remember to use a transparent background. Otherwise, your watermark will not be visible on your image.

Now that you know how to create a PNG watermark in Photoshop, try it out on your own images! Watermarks are a great way to protect your photos from unauthorized copying.
