Last updated on December 24, 2022 @ 2:11 pm

There are many ways to create a recipe in Squarespace. You can use our pre-made recipe template, or you can create your own using our drag and drop builder. If you’re not sure how to get started, we’ve got a few tips to help you get started.

    1. Choose your platform

There are two ways to create a recipe in Squarespace: using our pre-made recipe template, or creating your own using our drag and drop builder. If you’re not sure which one to choose, we recommend starting with the pre-made recipe template. It’s easy to use and comes with everything you need to get started.

    2. Find a recipe you love

The first step to creating a recipe in Squarespace is finding a recipe you love. You can use any recipe you like, but we recommend finding one that’s simple and easy to follow. Once you’ve found your perfect recipe, it’s time to start building.

PRO TIP: This article contains instructions on how to create a recipe in Squarespace. However, it does not contain any information on how to format or style the recipe. As a result, the recipe may not appear as intended when published.

    3. Start building

Now that you’ve chosen your platform and found a recipe you love, it’s time to start building your own recipe in Squarespace. If you’re using our pre-made recipe template, simply enter your recipe’s name, ingredients, and instructions.

If you’re creating your own recipe using our drag and drop builder, you’ll need to add each element individually. We recommend starting with the name of your dish, followed by the ingredients and instructions.

    4. Add photos and videos

One of the best things about recipes is that they often come with photos and videos. To add photos and videos to your recipes in Squarespace, simply click on the “Add Media” button and upload your files from there. You can also embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo by clicking on the “Embed” button and copying and pasting the embed code.

    5. Publish your recipe

Once you’ve added all the ingredients, instructions, photos, and videos, it’s time to publish your recipe. Simply click on the “Publish” button at the top of the page, and your recipe will go live for everyone to see. If you want to style text in HTML using <p>, <b> or <u> simply add those tags around the text where applicable.
