How Do I Create a Round Logo in Photoshop?

There are a few simple steps to follow in order to create a round logo in Photoshop. First, open up the program and create a new document.

The dimensions of the document will depend on the size of the logo you want to create. For this example, we will use a width of 400 pixels and a height of 400 pixels.

Next, create a new layer and select the Ellipse Tool from the toolbar. Draw an ellipse on the new layer that covers the entire canvas.

With the ellipse still selected, go to Edit > Define Pattern. This will save the ellipse as a pattern that we can use later.

Create another new layer and select the Rectangle Tool from the toolbar. Draw a square on this new layer that is slightly smaller than the canvas.

With the square still selected, go to Edit > Define Pattern. This will save the square as a pattern that we can use later.

Now we need to create two more new layers. On the first new layer, select the Bucket Tool from the toolbar and click anywhere on the canvas.

This will fill the entire layer with color. Choose a color for your background that will contrast well with the colors in your logo.

On the second new layer, select the Paintbrush Tool from the toolbar. Click on the foreground color in the toolbar and choose a color for your logo text.

Then, click on the background color and choose a color for your text outline. Type out your text using any font you like. We used Arial Black for this example.

To give your text a 3D effect, go to Layer > Layer Style > Bevel and Emboss and apply these settings:

Style: Inner Bevel

Technique: Chisel Hard

Depth: 100%

Direction: Up

Size: 8 px

Soften: 0 px

Angle: 120°

Altitude: 30°

Gloss Contour: Ring

Highlight Mode: Vivid Light

Opacity: 100%

Shadow Mode: Multiply

Color: Black

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, it is best to consult with a professional graphic designer before attempting to create a round logo. Otherwise, you may end up with an unusable or poor quality logo.
