If you’ve ever wanted to cut a shape out of a photo in Photoshop, there’s a relatively easy way to do it. First, open the image you want to edit in Photoshop. Then, select the “pen tool” from the toolbar. With the pen tool selected, click around the outline of the shape you want to cut out. As you click, small anchor points will appear.

PRO TIP: This article provides instructions on how to cut a shape out of a photo in Photoshop. However, it is important to be aware that cutting a shape out of a photo can result in the loss of some image data. Therefore, it is recommended that you make a backup of your image before attempting to cut a shape out of it.

Once you’ve clicked around the entire outline of the shape, right-click and select “make selection.” A new window will pop up – make sure the “feather” option is selected and then click “OK.” This will help to soften the edges of your cut-out shape. Finally, go to “select” and then “inverse” from the drop-down menu. Then, hit delete on your keyboard and voila! The shape will be cut out of the photo.
