How Do I Cut Something Out in Photoshop?

If you’re new to Photoshop, you may be wondering how to cut something out. It’s actually quite simple! There are a few different ways to do it, but we’ll start with the most basic one.

First, open your image in Photoshop. Then, select the “Pen Tool” from the toolbar on the left.

With the Pen Tool selected, click around the edge of the object you want to cut out. As you click, small anchor points will appear. Keep clicking until you’ve gone all the way around the object.

PRO TIP: Photoshop is a very powerful image editing program that can be used to create some amazing effects. However, it is also a complex program that takes some time to learn. If you are not familiar with Photoshop, or if you do not have a lot of experience using it, you may want to consider finding someone who can help you before attempting to cut something out in Photoshop.

Once you’ve clicked all the way around, right-click and select “Make Selection.” A menu will appear with some options for feathering, anti-aliasing, etc. Leave the default settings and click “OK.”

Now that you’ve made a selection, go to Edit > Cut (or press Ctrl+X on your keyboard). This will cut out the object from the image. You can now paste it into another image (by going to Edit > Paste) or simply save it as a separate image (by going to File > Save As).

There you have it! That’s how to cut something out in Photoshop.
