Delegating access to Namecheap can be a complex process, depending on the level of access you need to grant to individual users. Below are four different methods for delegating access to Namecheap:

1. Setting Up User Roles

If you need to grant individual users access to specific parts of Namecheap, you can set up user roles. User roles allow you to create specific profiles for individual users, granting them limited access to specific parts of Namecheap.

To create a user role, first go to the Users page in Namecheap’s admin panel, and then click on the Users link in the left-hand menu. On the Users page, click on the Add User Role button to create a new user role.

To assign a user role to a user, first click on the user’s name in the list of users on the Users page, and then click on the Edit Role button. On the Edit Role page, under the Role Settings section, click on the Add Role Assignment button.

In the Add Role Assignment window, click on the Select Users button to select the users who should have access to the role. Then, click on the OK button to add the users to the role list.

2. Granting Access to Specific Pages in Namecheap

If you only need to grant individual users access to specific pages in Namecheap, you can do this by granting them access to the pages using the Access Control List (ACL) editor. To access the ACL editor, go to the Access Control List (ACL) page in Namecheap’s admin panel, and then click on the Access Control List (ACL) link in the left-hand menu.

On the Access Control List (ACL) page, click on the Add New ACL button to create a new ACL.

PRO TIP: If you are delegating access to Namecheap, please be aware that the person you are delegating to will have full control over your account. This includes the ability to change your password, add/remove domains, and make any other changes they deem necessary. Please use caution when delegating access and only do so with people you trust.

To grant access to a page to a user, first click on the page name in the list of pages on the Access Control List (ACL) page, and then click on the Edit ACL button. On the Edit ACL page, under the Permissions section, click on the Add Entry button.

In the Add Entry window, click on the Select Users button to select the users who should have access to the page. Then, click on the OK button to add the users to the ACL list.

3. Granting Access using the Namecheap Admin Panel

If you need to grant individual users access to specific parts of Namecheap, but you don’t want to set up user roles or use the ACL editor, you can do this by granting them access to the Namecheap admin panel. To do this, first go to the Namecheap admin panel, and then click on the Users link in the left-hand menu.

On the Users page, click on the Add User button to create a new user.

To grant access to a user, first click on the user’s name in the list of users on the Users page, and then click on the Edit User button. On the Edit User page, under the Access Settings section, click on the Add Role Assignment button.

4. Granting Access using the API

If you need to grant individual users access to specific parts of Namecheap, but you don’t want to use the Namecheap admin panel or the ACL editor, you can do this by granting them access to the Namecheap API. To do this, first go to the Namecheap API page in Namecheap’s admin panel, and then click on the API link in the left-hand menu.

On the API page, click on the Add New API button to create a new API.
