How Do I Delete My Suspended UpWork Account?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 9:51 pm

If you’re like many people, you may have signed up for an UpWork account at some point, only to find that your account has been suspended. If this is the case, don’t worry – there is a way to delete your account. Here’s how:

First, log into your account and go to the settings page. From here, you will need to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Delete Account” link.

Once you click this link, a pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm that you want to delete your account. Click “Yes” to confirm.

PRO TIP: If you are considering deleting your Upwork account, please be aware that doing so will permanently remove all of your account data, including any active or past contracts, feedback, financial information, and messages. Therefore, we recommend that you first suspend your account if you would like to take a break from freelancing, but preserve your account data in case you decide to come back.

Once you confirm that you want to delete your account, it will take up to 48 hours for the deletion to be processed. During this time, your account will be inaccessible. After 48 hours, your account will be permanently deleted and you will no longer be able to log into it.
