How Do I Disable WooCommerce Cart?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 9:08 pm

If you’re running a WooCommerce store, you might want to disable the shopping cart feature for a variety of reasons. Maybe you’re not ready to start selling yet, or you want to use the site as a catalog only. In either case, it’s easy to disable the WooCommerce shopping cart.

Here’s how to do it:

Log into your WordPress site and go to the WooCommerce->Settings page. Click on the Checkout tab.

PRO TIP: If you are considering disabling your WooCommerce cart, please be aware that this could have negative consequences for your business. Your customers will no longer be able to add items to their cart and checkout, which could lead to lost sales. In addition, your WooCommerce account will no longer be able to track sales data or generate reports. We recommend only disabling your cart if absolutely necessary.

At the bottom of the Checkout Page Settings section, there’s a checkbox labeled “Enable Shopping Cart.” Uncheck that box and click Save Changes.

That’s all there is to it! Once you’ve saved your changes, the shopping cart feature will be disabled on your WooCommerce site.
