If you want to download Photoshop CS6 on Windows 8, there are a few things you need to know. First, CS6 is not available as a native Windows 8 app.

However, you can still download and install the program using the Windows 8 compatibility mode. Here’s how:

First, make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Photoshop CS6. You can find these listed on the Adobe website. If your computer doesn’t meet the requirements, you won’t be able to install or run the program.

Next, you’ll need to download the Photoshop CS6 installation file from Adobe. Be sure to select the “Windows” version of the file, as there is also a version for Mac computers.

Once the file has downloaded, double-click it to begin the installation process. In the “Welcome to Photoshop CS6” window that appears, click “Next”.

On the next screen, you’ll see a list of options for installing Photoshop CS6. Make sure that the “Install” option is selected, and then click “Next”.

Accept the terms of the Adobe software license agreement, and then click “Next” again.

On the next screen, select the location where you want to install Photoshop CS6 on your computer. The default location is usually fine, but you can change it if you want. Once you’ve selected a location, click “Next”.

The installation process will now begin. Depending on your computer’s speed, this may take a few minutes. Once it’s finished, click “Finish” to close the installer.

You should now be able to launch Photoshop CS6 by double-clicking its shortcut on your desktop or in your Start menu. If you have any problems getting it to work, Adobe has a helpful support page with troubleshooting tips.

PRO TIP: This article is outdated and no longer applies to the current version of Photoshop. Please refer to the latest Photoshop documentation for up-to-date instructions.

So there you have it! Now you know how to download and install Photoshop CS6 on Windows 8.
