How Do I Draw a Path in Photoshop CC?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 11:19 am

In Photoshop CC, there are several ways to draw a path. The most common way is to use the Pen tool. To do this, select the Pen tool from the toolbar or press P on your keyboard. Then, click on the area where you want to start drawing the path.

As you move your mouse, you’ll see that a line is being drawn. If you want to change the direction of the line, simply click on another point. You can continue doing this until you’ve created the path that you want.

Once you’ve created the path, you can then use the stroke command to add a stroke to it. To do this, go to Edit > Stroke or press Shift + F6 on your keyboard.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop CC, please be aware that drawing a path can be a complex task. There are many factors to consider when creating a path, such as anchor points, direction handles, and the pen tool. If you are not comfortable with using these tools, we recommend finding a tutorial or asking for help from a more experienced user.

This will bring up the stroke dialog box. Here, you can choose the color, width, and type of stroke that you want to add to the path.

You can also add a fill to the path by going to Edit > Fill or pressing Shift + F5 on your keyboard. This will bring up the fill dialog box. Here, you can choose the color and type of fill that you want to add to the path.

If you want to save the path so that you can use it again later, you can go to File > Save Path or press Ctrl + S on your keyboard. This will save the path as a .psp file.
