Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 8:51 am

There are two ways to duplicate a page in Squarespace. The first is to use the Duplicate Page function in the Pages panel. The second is to export the page HTML and then import it into a new page.

To duplicate a page using the Duplicate Page function, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Squarespace account and go to the Pages panel.

2. Hover over the page you want to duplicate and click the Duplicate icon .

3. A new page will appear at the bottom of your pages list with the same content as the original page. You can then edit this page as needed.

To duplicate a page by exporting and importing its HTML, follow these steps:

PRO TIP: If you are considering duplicating a page on your Squarespace website, be aware that this could have negative consequences for your website’s search engine optimization (SEO). When duplicate pages are found by search engines, they can penalize your website by lowered rankings or even removal from their search results entirely. Therefore, it is important to only duplicate pages when absolutely necessary, and to take measures to ensure that the duplicate pages are properly optimized for search engines.

1.

Log in to your Squarespace account and go to the Pages panel. Hover over the page you want to duplicate and click the Export icon . A dialog box will appear asking you where you want to save the HTML file. Choose a location and click Save.

4. Go to the Pages panel and click the + icon .

5. Select Import Page from the drop-down menu.

6. In the Import Page dialog box, select Choose File,

(select your HTML file), [and]
(click Open).[then]

7. Click Import.

Your new page will appear in the Pages panel with the same content as your original page.

The Duplicate Page function is the quickest way to create a new page with similar content to an existing page on your site.

However, if you want more control over how your content is imported, or if you want to import pages from another Squarespace site, exporting and importing HTML is the way to go.

There are two ways to duplicate a page in Squarespace: using the Duplicate Page function or by exporting and importing HTML. Both methods are quick and easy, so choose whichever one suits your needs best.
