How Do I Edit a Page in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 2:01 am

There are two ways that you can edit a page in Squarespace. The first is by using the drag-and-drop editor, and the second is by using the code editor.

If you want to use the drag-and-drop editor, then you need to click on the ‘Edit’ button in the top-right corner of the page. This will bring up a menu of options that you can use to edit the page. You can add new content, move existing content around, and change the settings for each piece of content.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with HTML or CSS, we do not recommend editing a page in Squarespace. Making changes to your site’s code can result in unintended changes and errors on your site.

To use the code editor, you need to click on the ‘Code’ button in the top-right corner of the page.

This will bring up a text editor that you can use to edit the HTML and CSS for the page. You can also use this editor to add new content, but it is more suited for advanced users who are comfortable working with code.

Once you have made your changes, you need to click on the ‘Save’ button in the top-right corner of the page. This will save your changes and make them live on the website.

Conclusion:
Both ways of editing a Squarespace page have their own benefits – it just depends on what type of user you are as to which one will suit you best. If you want to quickly add or move around content, then using the drag-and-drop editor is probably your best bet. However, if you’re comfortable working with code, then using the code editor will give you more flexibility in terms of what you can do with your pages.
