How Do I Edit Text in a Layer in Photoshop?

Editing text in Photoshop is a simple process that can be performed in just a few steps. To edit text in a layer, first select the layer that contains the text you want to edit. Then, click on the “T” icon in the toolbar or choose “Type” from the “Layer” menu.

A text box will appear around the text. You can then make changes to the text, such as changing the font, size, color, or alignment. Once you have made your changes, simply click “OK” to save them.

If you want to style your text using HTML tags, you can do so by enclosing the text in <p>, <b> or <u> tags. For example, to make your text bold, you would enclose it in <b> tags.

To make it underlined, you would enclose it in <u> tags. And to add paragraphs, you would enclose each paragraph in <p> tags.

PRO TIP: When editing text in a layer in Photoshop, it is important to be aware that the text may become distorted if the layer is transformed (e.g. rotated, scaled, etc.). To avoid this, it is best to convert the text to a shape before transforming the layer.
