How do I embed a PDF in WordPress without plugins?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 12:10 am

Embedding PDFs in WordPress without plugins is a breeze. Simply log in to your WordPress site, go to the “Appearance” tab and click on the “Upload Files” button. Next, select the PDF you want to embed and click on the “Upload” button. That’s it! WordPress will automatically insert the PDF into your post and resize it to fit.

PRO TIP: If you are considering embedding a PDF in your WordPress site without using a plugin, be aware that this is not an ideal solution. PDFs are not meant to be displayed in web browsers and can cause problems for your visitors. In addition, search engines will not be able to index the content of your PDF, which could hurt your site’s SEO.

You can even add text, images and other elements to the PDF, just as you would any other post. When you’re done, simply click on the “Publish” button to send the post live.
