Twitter is a social media platform that allows users to share short messages, or “tweets,” with other users. Twitter also provides a way for website owners to share tweets on their websites. This can be done by embedding a tweet on a website.

To embed a tweet on a website, the code for the tweet must be copied from Twitter. To do this, click on the “more” option under a tweet. A drop-down menu will appear.

Click on the “Embed Tweet” option in this drop-down menu.

PRO TIP: If you are considering embedding a Tweet in your Squarespace website, be aware that there are some potential risks. First and foremost, Twitter could change how their embedded tweets look at any time, which could break your website’s design. Additionally, if Twitter decides to discontinue the embedded tweets feature, your website would no longer display the tweets.

A new window will open that contains the code for the tweet. This code can be copied and pasted into an HTML file on a website. The code will cause the tweet to appear on the website exactly as it appears on Twitter.

It is also possible to style the text of a tweet using HTML tags. The <p> tag can be used to add paragraph breaks to a tweet. The <b> tag can be used to make text bold, and the <u> tag can be used to underline text.
