How Do I Embed Figma to Confluence?

Figma is a vector graphics editor and design tool, primarily used in the design industry for interface design and icon design. However, its potential isn’t limited to these areas – it can be a powerful tool for illustrations, web design, prototyping, and more.

How do I embed Figma in Confluence

There are two ways to embed Figma in Confluence – through the use of the Figma macro, or by pasting the code into an HTML macro.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to embed Figma to Confluence, be aware that there are some potential risks involved. One risk is that if your Figma account is not properly configured, anyone with access to your Confluence site will be able to view and edit your Figma designs. Another risk is that if you do not have a paid Figma account, your designs may be watermarked.

The first method is probably the easiest – simply install the Figma macro from the Atlassian Marketplace (here’s a link to the macro). Once installed, you can use the macro like any other – just insert it into your Confluence page and specify the URL of the Figma file you want to embed. The file will automatically appear on your page, and you can even specify a width and height for it.

The second method requires a little more work, but gives you more control over how your Figma file appears on the page. To do this, you’ll need to get the code for your Figma file (you can find this under ‘File > Publish to the Web’).

Once you have the code, you can paste it into an HTML macro on your Confluence page. Again, you can specify a width and height for the file, as well as some other options like whether or not to show borders and scrollbars.

Whichever method you choose, embedding Figma in Confluence is a great way to share your designs with colleagues and get feedback on them – without having to leave Confluence. Give it a try!
