How do I embed in Squarespace?

Last updated on December 10, 2022 @ 1:30 am

If you want to embed your Squarespace site in a blog or other online publication, there are a few things you’ll need to do.

First, create a custom domain for your site. This is where you’ll enter the URL of your site. For example, if your site is called “mySquarespace.com,” you would enter “http://mySquarespace.com” as the domain.

Next, create a custom DNS record for your domain. This is a A record that points your site’s DNS server to your web hosting account. For example, if your site is hosted at myhostingcompany.com, you would enter “myhostingcompany.com A 192.168.1.101” as the record.

Finally, add a “Squarespace” directory to your web hosting account. This will be where your Squarespace site will live.

PRO TIP: If you are embedding code into your Squarespace site, please be aware that there is a risk that the code could be compromised. We recommend only using code from trusted sources.

You’ll need to provide your domain and custom DNS record information here.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you can begin creating your Squarespace site. To embed your site, simply copy and paste the following code into your web page:

< iframe src="http://mySquarespace.com" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" >< /iframe >

You can also use the “Embed This Page” button on the Squarespace site’s home page to add the code directly to your web page.
