How Do I Enable 3D in Photoshop CS6?

3D is a great way to add depth and realism to your images, and Photoshop CS6 makes it easy to create and manipulate 3D content. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to enable 3D in Photoshop CS6 and style text using the < p >, < b >, and < u > tags.

First, open Photoshop CS6 and go to Preferences > 3D. Check the “Enable 3D” option and click OK.

Now that 3D is enabled, you can create a new 3D layer by going to Layer > New > 3D Layer. This will open the New 3D Layer dialog box.

In the New 3D Layer dialog box, select the “Text” option and click OK.

Enter your text in the text box that appears on the canvas. To style your text, select it and use the < p >, < b >, or < u > tags from the Text toolbar.

For example, to make your text bold, select it and click the < b > tag. To make it italic, select it and click the < i > tag. To underline it, select it and click the < u > tag.

When you’re finished styling your text, click OK.

Your text will now appear in 3D on your canvas! You can move it around by clicking and dragging on its edges. To rotate it, position your cursor outside of one of its edges until you see the rotation icon (), then click and drag to rotate.

To change its color, double-click on the layer in the Layers panel and select a new color from the Color Picker. You can also add textures and lighting effects to your 3D text layer by double-clicking on it in the Layers panel and choosing from the options in the Texture Panel or Lighting Panel.

When you’re finished, click OK to close the Texture Panel or Lighting Panel.

That’s all there is to creating and styling 3D text in Photoshop CS6! With just a few clicks, you can add some serious depth to your images.
